Big Easter Sleepout at Home – 1st April
Raising money and awareness for the ongoing issue of homelessness & poverty on Teesside
Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation is challenging compassionate individuals from all walks of life to take part in the Big Easter Sleepout At Home in a bid to tackle homelessness.
On 1 April, people across the country will give up their warm beds to literally ‘sleep out’ somewhere safe inside or outside their home.
You’ll join your fellow participants virtually via Zoom on the night, with fun activities to keep you motivated and warm. You’ll also learn about the challenges faced by charities the length of the country, operating at the front line of homelessness and poverty.
The Philanthropic Foundation has partnered with their sister charity CEO Sleepout to bring people from the local community together virtually, to spend the night under the stars, experiencing a little of what those without homes go through every single night.
Although it’s only for one night, and doesn’t come close to what homeless people experience night after night. The Big Easter Sleepout At Home is intended to raise awareness and lots of money to tackle the rising tide of homelessness we’re seeing as a result of the pandemic and lockdown measures.
We’re inviting Mums, Dads and families, students, office teams and compassionate people from across Teesside to take part in what is sure to be a memorable and rewarding night.
